In a massive week for triathlon, the Olympic races will take place as well as entries for Outlaw Half Nottingham and Holkham opening. Last year entries for the Nottingham event sold out in not much more than sixty seconds.
VIP entries go on sale on Wednesday morning (17 August). It’s no longer possible to sign up for VIP entries, but general entry places will become available on Thursday at 9am for Nottingham and 11am for Holkham.
Both events cover a 1900m swim, 56mile bike ride and 13.1mile run. Athletes start in waves of around 300 per start based on age-group. There’s also a relay wave.
Competitor feedback from both Nottingham and Holkham has been overwhelmingly positive. The Nottingham event has an extra fifty places available this year at 1500, and the Holkham event can accommodate 2000 rather than the 1500 entries offered as the event was launched this year.
The Nottingham event takes place at the National Water Sports Centre with the swim in the regatta lake. There is on site camping and easy access to city-centre hotels. The Outlaw Half Holkham takes place at the Holkham Estate in North Norfolk, close to the stunning Wells-next-the-Sea beach. There is on-site camping as well as plentiful local caravan parks and Bed and Breakfast hotels.
