What do you think is the biggest issue facing women today?

There are still a few issues of equality - not often, but I am sometimes given the impression that as a woman I cannot possibly have the skills men doin the same role (or less) do not have.

What barriers have you faced, as a woman, in becoming successful in your field? How did you overcome them?

The main issue has been one of jealousy - usually from younger males, usually in a club environment -its led me to leave 2 triathlon clubs. Overcoming it hasn't always been easy, but I have found to try not to let it bother me and being myself and follow my own path and be confident in what I am doing and how I do it.

Do you have any advice for women trying to make it in your field?

Be yourself, have confience in your ability.

Strong, independent and inspiring women like the ones I surround myself with in Triathlon!

What do you think is the biggest issue facing women today?

Confidence, I come across a lot of women that struggle with confidence to strive for their goals. It's something I've experienced myself!

What barriers have you faced, as a woman, in becoming successful in your field? How did you overcome them?

Having the confidence to strive for my goals, I've feared failure and judgement, but in surrounding myself with a network of women who haven't been afraid to strive my confidence has grown.

Do you have any advice for women trying to make it in your field?

Yes, find your support network and support other women in achieving their goals by being that 'champion' to another woman!
